USAF Selects NXM Labs to Compete in $950M Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) Program
MOUNTAINVIEW, Calif. – July 6, 2021 – NXM Labs, a leader in advanced zero-trust cybersecurity solutions for IoT endpoint devices, has been approved by the US Air Force to bid on work for its Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) platform, part of the multi-billion dollar Department of Defense (DoD) Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) program that aims to better connect the nation’s military services.
The Air Force added NXM to a select list of eligible bidders to work on its JADC2 program valued at nearly $1 billion dollars. The list includes companies like Siemens, AT&T, Microsoft, and Boeing, as well as startups and smaller enterprises.
JADC2 seeks to modernize the DoD’s decision making by connecting sensors from all branches of the armed forces into a unified network powered by artificial intelligence. The Air Force’s ABMS initiative aims to create a military Internet of Things using cloud environments and new communications methods that allow it to share data seamlessly and securely with all other branches, including the newly formed Space Force.
Under the ABMS program, companies will be eligible to compete as prime contractors for future contracts associated with the “maturation, demonstration and proliferation of capability across platforms and domains, leveraging open systems design, modern software and algorithm development in order to enable Joint All Domain Command and Control,” according to a recent USAF contract announcement.
“Being selected by the USAF to supply leading edge cybersecurity solutions designed to protect critical national defense assets and enable interoperability between military services is a major milestone and real honor for our company.” says NXM CEO and Co-founder Scott Rankine.
